They are made to NEED upgrading after a year or so and since you can't upgrade them, you need to buy the next model.&#xD;

This goes for iPods, iMacs, iBooks etc Constantly being upgraded so that you waste your money. Hell even the iPhone made your last $200-$500 iPod purchase redundant. Selling the old one is also hard because they are all white and become grubby from use.&#xD;
