Zunes are more durable than iPods.
I have dropped my Zune from a height of more than three feet more times than I can count, I have smacked it screen first against doorknobs, and it has yet to malfunction or break. I have many friends with iPods who have dropped them and broken pieces of the case off or cracked the LCD screen so severely they have had to be replaced.
