Drivers should be frequently re-examined!

I believe drivers should have to sit a practical exam every time they renew their license (be it every 3 or 5 years etc.). I have noticed (older drives especially) have had the same damn license for 40 odd years. People need to be reassessed to see if their skills are still competent. A growing number (75 percent to be exact) of Australians DO NOT know how to merge correctly!

Frequent competency based tests will be like going through their driving habits like a fine toothed comb looking for any bloody idiot behaviours such as indicating RIGHT when exiting a roundabout, entering a freeway at half the speed of traffic flow, indicating for .299313 milliseconds and assuming the clearance belongs to them.
